Meet the Mechanic Behind the Mint Janome
Preserving the reliable engineering of the 1920s to the 1970s.
Hi, I'm MaryLee.
I've been knitting since I was six years old, and somewhere along the way I never stopped adding new skills — machine knitting, weaving, embroidery, bookmaking, and now, repairing the very machines that make all of it possible.
I'm also a sewing machine technician specializing in mechanical machines — the kind with no computer chips, just gears, tension, and decades of good engineering. There's something I love about bringing an old machine back to life and then immediately putting it to work making something new.
Mint Condition Sewing & Restoration is where those two things meet: restored vintage machines, and the handmade work — knitted, woven, stitched — that they help create. Whether you're here for a machine repair, a workshop, or just to see what's possible with a well-loved tool, I'm glad you found your way here.
